COLAB is a Richmond, Virginia digital agency that has designed, built, and supported WordPress, Drupal, and Next.js sites since 2008. We work with healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and member organizations, including credit unions, whose websites carry responsibility to the patients, members, and donors they serve.

We have built hundreds of websites and web applications, including more than a hundred web properties hosted on Pantheon. Our team covers product strategy, UX/UI design, content, and development. We recommend a CMS after discovery, based on what each organization needs. For many clients, that means Drupal or WordPress on Pantheon, and increasingly a headless front end with a Drupal or WordPress back end.

Security and performance shape how we build. We have architected layered defenses for a Fortune 500 energy company's web properties, and we have delivered sites that perform on low-bandwidth connections for international audiences.

Projects start by understanding your organization and aligning on a plan. From there, we build, launch, and learn in iterations, and that cycle continues after launch as your needs change. Clients own the code, design, and content we create, and the sites we deliver come with documentation and editor training.

Our average client relationship lasts five years or longer. Virginia Credit Union and Sports Backers have worked with us for more than ten years. We are an 18-person team based in Richmond, with teammates across the U.S. and in France.
